Policies and Disclaimers
Retainer:
Dotti Shade Photography requires a 25% of your package selection fee. This amount will be deducted from your session at the appointed time. This is a non-refundable retatiner and reserves your session day exclusively for you.
Your appointed time cannot be reserved until the session fee retainer is paid, so please submit the session fee retainer payment along with the signed contracts as soon as possible. Appointment or your session may be cancelled without notice. In the event that your session is scheduled within 5 days from the current date, your retainer is due immediately. Although session retainers are NON refundable, they are applicable. That means if goes towards your session fee total. In the event of complete cancellation however, it is non-refundable. However, if you need to reschedule, your retainer will still be put towards your session, just on a different date. The session retainer fee will be forfeited if a session is cancelled without rescheduling or if the session has been rescheduled more than once. No-shows will not be refunded, nor will they be rescheduled.
Rescheduling/cancellations:
If you are unable to make your scheduled appointed time, you may move you scheduled session date once. Times and dates can be limited. Please contact me at least 48 hours prior to your session date to reschedule, and I will be happy to apply your retainer toward your re-scheduled date. If you do not contact me before the 48 hour deadline to let me know you will not be able to make your date, I will be forced to keep your non-refundable retainer. As I will be unable to fill you cancelled session with a replacement client on such short notice. If you are scheduled for an outdoor shoot and it’s raining, hailing, snowing or these is lightening your shoot will be rescheduled without penalty or you may choose to do your session inside. I do not reschedule sessions due to overcast or cloudy weather.
Payment:
Payment is due in full at the appointed session day. Payment may be paid through Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Check or Cash. All payments made are non-refundable.
Disclaimer:
It is thoroughly understood by the client that digital images are not to be copied or distributed commercially in anyway and are for personal use only. Any and all use of the images are commercial use must be approved by the photographer. Dotti Shade Photography reserves the print release of all image. DO NOT EDIT OR ALTER THE IMAGES IN ANY WAY. A retainer for your session is due no later than seven days after booking. IF session deposit is not received in this time frame, your session date will be removed from my booking calendar. Thank your for you understanding.
Time for sessions:
An hour and half before sunset or an hour and after sunrise captures the best shots. This avoids any harsh lighting, no harsh shadows or squinting.

The images may be prints from the Professional Printing Company I use. Images are not intended to be printed at CVS, WALGREENS, Sam’s Club, Target, Wal-Mart, Costco or other chain stores, where the coloring, clarity and contracts are not true.
